At Buxton Junior School we follow the Derbyshire Agreed Syllabus for Religious Education. Please follow this link or see the document below.

Every year, children in Year 4 visit the Open Centre in Derby. They have the opportunity to visit a  mosque and a  gurdwara. We have also had workshops in school led by staff from the Open Centre.

 

At Christmas, each year group visits our local Trinity Church in Buxton to enjoy their 'Christmas Experience'.

Religious Education Weeks

Every half-term we dedicate a full week to Religious Education.  We believe that this allows children to be fully immersed in the spiritual and religious questions being debated so that children can thoroughly explore and develop their understanding.
