My name is Donna Elwis. I have lived in Buxton all my life and even attended this school myself!

I have a child who is currently in Year 6 so I have a vested interest in the curriculum and the day-to-day running of the school.

I hope by being a Parent Governor I can offer a parental objective on varying issues and contribute to the positive outlook of the governing board.

My main job is working with the elderly in a day centre setting. I also work for a private home care agency on a relief basis. I enjoy doing clinical and therapeutic activities.

I wholeheartedly believe that everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, and my job allows me to bring a sense of person centred care to those that I work with.

Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my boy - we enjoy walking in the local countryside, visiting farms and parks, going swimming or simply chilling at home with our dog Norman.
