We are passionate advocates of outdoor learning, which has been built into our lesson planning to ensure we take every opportunity to get the children learning outside. We believe it is crucial that children learn to treasure what is on our doorstep as we are lucky to have amazing grounds and surrounding areas. The children go outside frequently to learn, across the curriculum. In addition, by having a relationship with nature and finding beauty in small things, we believe that children will learn to value our environment more and care for it when they are the decision-makers of the world. This approach links with one of our key drivers of our curriculum, ‘Our environment’.
