Anti-Stigma Campaign - Talking about Mental Health
Buxton Junior School are involved in the Derbyshire Anti- Stigma Campaign which is an initiative to combat stigma around mental health and to encourage children to talk about mental health in a positive way.
Children are invited to become Anti-Stigma Ambassadors and will work with staff members to help other children to understand about the stigma associated with mental health and the importance of looking after our mental health in the same way that we would talk about our physical health.
Some of the books that we choose to read in class tackle the issues of mental health and how characters deal with them.
