Uniform 

All children should be appropriately dressed in school uniform and well presented. 

We also encourage our children to be outside as much as possible so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. 

The school encourages the wearing of a red sweatshirt or cardigan (Y3 to Y5) or a black sweatshirt or cardigan (Y6 only), with grey or black school trousers, pinafore or skirt (leggings are not permissible unless worn under a skirt or summer dress) and a white shirt/blouse, or white or red polo-shirt.  Pupils may wear red gingham-check school dresses, or grey or black school shorts during the summer months. 

Sweatshirts, cardigans and other uniform items with our school logo are available from our uniform stockists (see below for details).

Footwear must be dark coloured school shoes or all-black trainers with no logo.

PE Kit 

So we can get outside as much as possible children are expected to have their PE kit in school at all times.  Our PE kit consists of black or navy shorts, and a red or white T-shirt (these are also available with the school logo from our uniform providers as detailed above) and plimsolls (not trainers) are needed for indoor PE. Trainers may be worn for outdoor games and athletics lessons.  A tracksuit, or jogging bottoms and a sweatshirt/fleece, may be worn for outdoor PE sessions during the colder months.  

Please ensure all items (including coats and bags) are clearly named.

Jewellery

In the interests of health and safety children must not wear any jewellery to school, except for a small watch.  Your child may also wear small stud earrings as long as they can remove them for swimming and PE. A small watch may be worn in school. 

Painted nails and/or false nails are not allowed in school.

Go to www.myclothing.com and type in 'Buxton Junior School', then press the search button and this will allow you to see all the items available to purchase. Items are usually delivered within 14 days.

Classworx

The Classworx shop in Macclesfield (formerly Trutex) stocks our school uniform. Their address is King Edward Road, Macclesfield, SK10 1AP (opposite the side gate to Kings School), telephone number 01625 500552.

Opening hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday 9.30am-5pm (closed Sunday).  You can also order online at: www.classworx.co.uk.

Second Hand Uniform

We do keep a small stock of good condition second hand uniform items in school priced at £1 per item.  If you are interested in purchasing any second hand items please ask at the office.  

If your child does not wear uniform to school, we will contact you to offer support.

We also offer support with uniform to those families in receipt of free school meals.
