Hi, my name is Kerry Chisnall and I initially joined the school Governing Body as an associate governor before becoming a co-opted governor in April 2020.

I initially worked within the business and finance sector. I then moved into working within children’s services, multi-agency teams, early help and children’s centres, including managing children’s centres within the Derbyshire Dales for seven years.  I currently work for the Local Authority as a trainer in the discipline of safeguarding.     

I am passionate about all aspects of safeguarding children and am motivated by my own learning and also facilitating the learning of others.  As a governor, I am looking forward to supporting the children and families of Buxton Junior School by sharing my knowledge and expertise with this engaging and well-informed Governing Body.

I live in Matlock and have two young sons who are football crazy; most of my time is taken up with following them around so they can pursue their dreams!
