Hi my name is Johanna Beswick and I have two children, who both attended Buxton Junior School.  I moved to Buxton in 2006, and I love it here! I enjoy walking in our beautiful countryside (even if I do go very slowly up the hills!), as well as enjoying the cultural aspects of the town. 

I have spent 18 years working for the Civil Service which involved doing research (I’m a psychologist by background), line management, and also business development.  I now deliver training courses on topics such as health and safety leadership.

I have been a governor since 2018 and really enjoying supporting our wonderful school and helping to make it a great place to learn and work.
