Hello! I’m Corryn Walker. I am originally from Sheffield and after living in London for nearly 10 years, I moved to Buxton in 2006.  I have two children; one is currently at Buxton Junior School and the other was a pupil here before moving on to secondary school.

I work part time as a Deputy Library Services Manager for Manchester Metropolitan University.  My main role involves working with students to improve their information literacy and research skills to enable them to develop as independent learners. I’m hopeful that my experience working with older students in a higher education environment will be helpful when acting as a parent governor.

I am really looking forward to working with the school and to helping it reach its' full potential delivering a broad and balanced curriculum for all pupils.
